Brain tumor is classified as the abnormal growth of the brain cells, which is becoming solid mass that develops within the central canal or the cranium. Brain tumors can either be benign or malignant, but they are both deadly. Malignant tumors are more aggressive compared to benign tumors. Symptoms will vary depending on the location and size of the brain tumor. Severe headaches, nausea or vomiting, memory problems, loss of vision, hearing loss, seizures, fatigue and sensory loss. These brain tumor symptoms can be related according to the type, location or type of the tumor. All the treatments associated with this disease have the possibility to create other symptoms as the treatment goes on to reduce the blow of the tumor. Treatment: Brain tumor treatment is performed by the team of experienced medical practitioners, which are composed of neurosurgeons, Neuro-oncologist, pathologists and radiation oncologist. Radiation therapy after the surgery is usually common to many types of tumors. However, there are different radiation therapy that can be used for brain tumor treatment, according to type, location and grade. Radiation therapy has is a major share of risks such as damaging parts of the brain, which can lead to memory loss. Another possible side effect is the swelling, but control with the help of corticosteroids. Another treatment used for brain tumor is the chemotherapy, which is known to give a positive response to gliomas or CNS lymphoma. However, not all brain tumors with higher grades do respond well, therefore, chemotherapy is only obtainable by the selected patients who have tumors that are favorable for chemotherapy agents.
