MSCONFIG or 'Microsoft System Configuration Utility' is windows built-in utility that can be used to configure and trouble shoot Windows operating systems.
MSCONFIG can also be used to stop programs and software to start automatically when the system boots.
To use MSCONFIG to stop start-up programs, follow the instructions below:
1) Click
Start, and type
MSCONFIG in the Windows Search box
2) In the search result panel, click
msconfig.exe program

3) In the System Configuration dialog, click the
Statup tab and remove the check mark from any program that you don't want to start with the system. Click
Ok when done

4) Click
Restart to restart your computer and activate the changes.
