This might be a solution for you if you are having problem with running Java on some of the old Java Applet websites and web application on Windows 7 64-bit computer.
Symptom: You enabled Java on your browser but you are getting an error message similar to this one:
This product requires the Java language, which is either disabled or not available on this browser. or simply your browser does not run Java applications.
Solution:
1) Uninstall the 64-bit Java and install latest 32-bit Java from
Java.com
2) In the Control Panel (Start -> Control Panel), double click
Java (32-bit).
3) On the Java Console, click the
Security tab
4) Check off the
Enable Java content in the browser. This will simply enable the Java plug-ins on your browser.
Ensure that java Plug-in is enabled on your Google Chrome Browser by doing this:
1) Open Chrome.
2) type
chrome://plugins/ in the address bar.
3) Make sure
Java(TM) plug-in is showing and blue highlighted
Disable link would indicate that Java is enabled.
Ensure that java Plug-in is enabled on your Internet Explorer Browser by doing this:
1) Open Internet Explore and click
Tools and then
Internet Options.
2) Select the
Security tab, and select the
Custom Level button.
3) Scroll down to Scripting of Java applets.
4) Make sure the
Enable radio button is checked
