Breast milk is the best milk for your baby. Feeding your baby solely for the first 6 month and then continue feeding in addition until 12 months and its good for both mother and baby. Some research shows that breastfeeding has significant health benefits for moms. Some are listed below: . Breastfeeding can help women to loose weight . Breastfeeding reduces the risk of osteoporosis . Breastfeeding assists the uterus return to its pre-pregnant state faster . It can reduces the risk of pre-menopausal breast cancer and ovarian cancer . Breastfeeding reduces the risk of mothers with gestational diabetes developing Type 2 diabetes Breastfeeding is very important for your baby. It helps keep your baby healthy and babies who fed breast milk have lower chance of illness. If your newborn baby doesn’t fed by your breast they can face illness. Some illnesses are listed below: . Obesity . Urinary tract infections . SIDS (cot death). . Asthma . Some childhood cancers . Respiratory tract (chest) infections . Diabetes . Gastro-intestinal (gut) illness . Allergies Breast milk has important ingredients, which will never be found in any infant formula. It builds babies immune system. Breast milk supplies all the necessary nutrients in the proper proportions. Breast milk is always good and ready for any environment. It is always at the right temperature, clean and free. It is always available wherever and whenever your baby needs and it has no waste and no bottle needs to be cleaned. So mothers should feed their babies at least 6 months and if it is possible, expand it for 24 months beside other solid foods. But for the first 6 months only feed breast milk, even no water required.
