Microsoft’s Windows operating systems have gone to 1.01 to 10 and have conquered the world for over 20 years now. It has had its ups and downs with continuous updates and upgrades over the years. Some of its versions have seen their glory days where some of them were disasters. But undoubtedly the winner should be their most popular and mostly used operating system till date, Windows XP. Through XP, Microsoft has revolutionized the user experience of a computer. It had opened the modern era of computer operating system with its striking and easy to use user interface. Though Microsoft has officially closed its updates and sells, XP still attracts a vast number of users around the world. XP is preferred the best operating system by graphic designers, computer operators operating with various software’s and applications in offices and even programmers and developers. For older computers with less powerful configurations, XP serves best than the latest operating systems such as Windows 7 or 8. Unfortunately people who have upgraded to windows 7/8 and want to come back to XP, finds it hard to install back XP into their systems. But there’s a very simple way to make it work and run XP again in your system. Now days most laptops and latest computers come with the latest operating system like Windows 7 or 8 integrated or preinstalled. Now if you want to install your favorite XP into these latest devices or turn back your old upgraded computers to XP, follow the instructions below: • Restart your computer and enter F2/F1 or DEL whichever is the key to enter your BIOS Setting. • When you are in BIOS control panel, search and find “SATA Controller Mode” or anything similar to that to take you to the SATA mode options. • Now different computer will show different names or options but generally you will see two options, either Compatibility and AHCI or AHCI and IDE. • If your computer has the latest OS like Windows 7 or 8, you will see AHCI option is selected. • Now to downgrade and install XP you need to choose the option IDE or Compatibility. • Now save your BIOS setting and exit. Now you can insert you XP CD/DVD and install it on your system without any hassle or errors.
