Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is a cryptography protocol that provides communication security over the Internet. SSL encrypts the data transported over the network, using cryptography for privacy and a keyed message authentication code for message reliability. Microsoft recently recommended disabling of SSL 3.0 and enabling TLS 1.0 due to vulnerability of exploitation in SSL 3.0 Here is how you would disable SSL 3.0 ON Internet Explorer: 1) On the Internet Explorer Tools menu, click Internet Options. Internet Options menu is under the wrench icon on the top right corner. 2) In the Internet Options dialog box, click the Advanced tab. 3) In the Security category, uncheck Use SSL 3.0. Check Use TLS 1.0 if you want use TLS instead. 4) Click OK. 5) Exit and restart Internet Explorer.
