The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6 has reportedly pushed the envelope in terms of novelty and efficiency. Deemed to be the probable best Android phone hitherto, the S6 comes in two forms: Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. The classical utilitarian design of a plastic build and removable battery has been done away with in the S6 versions.
Among some of the prominent features are –
• 5.10” screen size on both the S6 and the S6 Edge.
• 16 Megapixels camera for incredible clarity.
• 1.5 GHz octa-core processor
The S6 features a stunning metal bezel, contrary to the continual plastic build. The most noteworthy and significant feature that Samsung introduces with this novel flagship is the all new variant unique curved screen; a design that has not been ventured into previously.
Apart from the Quad HD Super AMOLED Display, the S6 twins come ingrained with 3GB RAM. Samsung has also done away with the MicroSD memory card slots and have introduced in-built-memory-type models with the S6, which is in close congruence and comparison with the Apple iPhone 6.
This comparison and congruity between the iPhone 6 and the Galaxy S6 as a whole is not even subtle. The S6 has a fingerprint scanner which can also be used to open the camera by being double-touched. The protruding camera, physical styling, inaccessible battery, the non-expandable and in-built memory, the fingerprint reader and a mobile payments system called Samsung Pay may all be testaments to unintentional comparisons between the iPhone 6 and S6.
The twins have been pinned to be launched by April 2015. Both of them would come in 32GB, 64GB and 126GB models. The 32GB model of Samsung Galaxy S6 is reportedly priced at 699 EUR, roughly equalling 772 USD and 48,300 INR.Publisher: Fadiyah Sameh
