Sisk management is defined as “the coordination of all resources through the process of planning, organizing, directing, and controlling in order to attain stated objective.” Management is not an end in itself. It is a source to achieve certain objectives. The basic objective of management is to maximize efficiency and economy of human efforts. The success of management is measured by the extent to which the established objectives are achieved. To attain the highest level of efficiency in management skill certain do’s and don’ts are to be followed.

These are some of the characteristics that can help in developing and improving managerial skills. Planning is a vital exercise in coordination because it involves choosing the right course of action out of various alternatives. Planning can be improved by establishing strong goals and objectives, making forecasts and plans for execution of such aims by formulating strict and straight forward policies, rules and procedures. Following such set of instruction one can enable himself to do things in an orderly manner without haphazard action and disorder.
Planning is followed by organizing the network of authority so that the human efforts been applied may have positive outputs. To attain positive outputs it is necessary that duties and task are always appointed to the most appropriate individual and by grouping the activities into manageable units. Another aspect of management is Staffing, it is the function of manning, and also keeping manned, the positions created in the organization structure. Basis of staffing relies on manpower planning. To manage the staff it is important to determine the number and quality of employees required in an organization. Appraising the staff, providing bonuses, and timely promotion of employees helps in improving overall management skills.
