how to tie a scarf

Throughout the years, a scarf has turned from something-to-keep-your-neck-warm-during-the-cold-season to an everyday fashion accessory. So whether you’re trying to keep up with this hipster trend, or actually need to keep your neck warm against cold air, you should know how to tie a scarf. There are different ways to tie it, but the most popular and easiest ways are the European Loop, Modern One Loop and the Quick Toss method.

Tie using the European Loop:

Step 1: Fold the scarf lengthwise, right in the middle.
Step 2: Wrap the folded scarf around your shoulder. Make sure the open ends of the scarf are longer than the folded end.
Step 3: Create a simple loop with the folded end.
Step 4: Insert the open ends of the scarf in the loop and tighten according to your preference.

Tie using the Modern One Loop:

Step 1: Wrap the scarf on your shoulders. One end should be longer than the other.
Step 2: Use the longer end to wrap or loop the scarf around your neck.
Step 3: Adjust the loop created according to your preference. Scarf ends can be of different lengths or of the same length.

Tie using the Quick Toss Method

Step 1: Wrap the scarf on your shoulders. One end should be longer than the other.
Step 2: Use the longer end to wrap or loop the scarf around your neck, but it shouldn’t complete a loop. The scarf should hang down your back.

And voila! You now know how to tie a scarf.
