Fruit Salads are not just savory but also exceptionally healthy for us. In fact Salads are considered the most healthy food among health conscious food and why not. A salad consists of fruits and elements that have immensely nutriment in them. If you are health conscious or wants a better health, moreover for your sound health, a salad should be included in your daily menu at least in once a day. There are so many types of salads and there are so variations in its cuisine. Let us make mixed fruit Salad today at home.
. 2 cups blueberries
. 2 cups strawberries sliced
. 2 cups cubed fresh pineapple
. 1 cup seedless grapes
. 3 bananas sliced
. 2 oranges, peeled and cut into half
. 3 kiwi fruit sliced
. 1 tea spoon vanilla extract
. 1\3 cup fresh lemon juice
. 2\3 cup fresh orange juice
. 1\2 tea spoon grated lemon zest
. 1\2 tea spoon grated orange zest
. 1\3 cup packed brown sugar
1. Take a saucepan and add orange zest, lemon zest, brown sugar, orange juice and lemon juice to make a fruit colored sauce. And boil them in medium heat.
2. After boiled reduce the heat and simmer the stove. Cook them for 5 minutes or until they get thickened. After thickened add vanilla extract in it and cool it.
3. Take a large bowl or large clear glass and layer the fruit in this order: blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, kiwi fruit, orange, bananas and grapes.
4. Now add the fruit colored sauce in it. Mix them together. And put them in freeze for 3-4 hours. When it gets cold then serve it.Publisher: Fadiyah Sameh
