Want to have healthier, better-looking skin? Drop those expensive “specially-made” skin care products and supplements. Although, these may be effective, they still can cause a fortune and can be hard to maintain in the long-run. To get much healthier skin, without burning a hole in your pocket, follow the methods below:

1. Moisture. Lots and lots of moisture.
Moisture is the secret to a healthy and glowing skin. To do this without the expensive products, use a cheap moisturizing soap, ones with more milk in its content than other ingredients. Soaps that are more anti-bacterial than moisturizing tend to dry up your skin. Along with this, use a homemade body scrub.

What you’ll need:
1 cup of evaporated milk
1 egg
6-8 calamansi

Directions:
1. In a container of choice, first squeeze 6-8 calamansi and remove the seeds.
2. Add 1 egg and the cup of evaporated milk.
3. Mix well.
4. Use this on face and body and leave to dry on skin for 5 to 10 minutes.
5. Rinse and follow washing with moisturizing soap.
This mixture will help in cleaning the skin, ridding it of dirt and even bacteria due to the calamansi. The milk in the mix will aid in moisturizing the skin.

2. Apply Lotion
It doesn’t have to be a branded, made-for-whitening lotion. A simple lotion, just as long as it is made up of moisturizing milk, will do. After your moisture-filled bath, follow it suit with lotion. This way, you skin will remain soft and smooth as you go on with your day. If you can’t maintain a lotion-applying habit, simply treat yourself to a milk bath as an alternative. 3. Eat Lots of Tropical Fruits
Tropical fruits contain loads of Vitamin C that makes the skin look and feel refreshed. Don’t forget to pick up some pineapples, papayas, kiwis on your next trip to the groceries.
