Convert server 2012 from gui to server core

As Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2012 allows you to choose one of two installation types: Server Core Installation or full Server Installation with full GUI interface.
If you install the Server Core which has command based interface only, you can convert it to fully functional GUI by running single a powershell command:

Install-WindowsFeature Server-Gui-Mgmt-Infra,Server-Gui-Shell –Restart

This will remove a Windows feature called User Interfaces and Infrustructure that has three sub features:
1. Graphical Management Tools and Infrastructure (Server-Gui-Mgmt-Infra) which provides server interface and server management tools such as Server Manager and the Microsoft Management Console (MMC).
2. Server Graphical Shell (Server-Gui-Shell) which provides the rest of the GUI experience such as Windows Explorer.
3. Desktop Experience (optional feature) that is not installed by default and provides desktop experience for Terminal Server users.

Convert Server 2012 from Core to GUI
You can also remove the graphical interface features in Windows PowerShell. If you have deployed a full installation of Windows Server 2012 and want to convert it to a Server Core installation, run the following Windows PowerShell command:

Uninstall-WindowsFeature Server-Gui-Mgmt-Infra -restart
