Skype has brought revolutionary change in the medium of online video calling. Skype is the software which has made the use of any calling or text application effective and popular in corporate level. Skype was one of its kind when it came to the market back in 2003 and still ruling with all its upgrades and variety of facilities it offers.

Around 300 million people use skype today. It won’t be a false statement that maximum people use skype for their job, business and work purposes. So it is not surprising if any one have the necessity of using multiple skype accounts. But what if you can use multiple accounts in your single PC? Yes it is possible and you don’t need to hack your system to do it. Skype itself allows you to use multiple accounts. But this can be done only in a computer.

To use multiple accounts in your computer you need to create desktop shortcut of Skype.

First step you need to find the “Phone” folder from your Skype installation path which is normally “C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\” for 32 bit operating system.
For 64 bit operating system path should like this, C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\

Second step when you are inside that folder right click on the Skype.exe and select Send to then select Desktop (create shortcut).

Third step: Now when you go to your desktop you will see Shortcut to Skype there, now right click on that file and select Properties.

Fourth Step: Now go to Shortcut tab and in Target field add this /secondary besides the installation path. The total line will be, “C (or the drive you installed):\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe (or the path of your Skype installation)” /secondary. Now you can either click Apply or you can just directly click OK to finish the process.

Now you can use two accounts, one from your regular Skype.exe and one from the one you just created Shortcut to Skype. You can create as many shortcuts as you like to open multiple accounts at the same time.
